RFP # 2135-01 A/E Services Comprehensive Modernization at Ausonia Apartments

The Boston Housing Authority (BHA) is seeking services of a qualified architectural/ engineering (A/E) consultant firm headed by an Architect to provide design and construction administration services for the comprehensive modernization of Ausonia Apartments (BHA development number 2-61), located in the North End section of Boston, Massachusetts. The estimated project construction cost is $40,000,000.00, which excludes a 10% construction contingency. The cost of the A/E and construction contracts will be funded by loans secured from private lenders following the conversion of the development from an ACC funding to another funding platform. Additional public and private funding sources may supplement the project costs. The project is subject to approval by HUD and to securing private financing for construction. The project is subject to cancellation should either HUD approval or financing approval is not received by the BHA. Three (3) copies of the complete proposal, along with one (1) electronic copy of their proposal on CD-R, or DVD-R media or on a non-returnable USB flash drive in a single file Adobe Acrobat PDF format must be submitted by May 24, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at, the Boston Housing Authority, Purchasing Department, 56 Chauncy Street (Housing Service Center), Boston, MA 02111. A Pre-proposal meeting and site visit will be conducted on May 9, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. beginning at the Ausonia Apartments, Community Room located at 185 Fulton Street, Boston, MA 02109. Questions or requests for modifications regarding this RFP will be accepted in writing ONLY and must be submitted via email to bids@bostonhousing.org seven (7) calendar days before the deadline for receipt of proposals. The BHA reserves the right to reject any proposals and waive any informalities if it be in the public interest to do so.
