Direct Deposit Program
The Boston Housing Authority is pleased to offer our property owners the opportunity to sign up for our Direct Deposit Program. This program offers the convenience of electronic direct deposit of monthly Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) into your designated account. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of this program as it will increase efficiency and result in a higher level of service.

Timely electronic deposit of monthly HAP into the financial account of your choice at the institution of your choice.
Immediate availability of funds on the payment date
Reduces the risk of check fraud and lost or stolen checks
Reduces the need to worry about your check while you are on vacation
Eliminates the need to go to the bank or ATM to deposit checks
No sign-up costs to participate in the program
If you are interested in signing up for direct deposit you need to do the following:
Complete the Direct Deposit/Payment Form.
Attach a voided check for the account of your choice.
Send the completed Form and the voided check to:

The process involves obtaining verification from our financial institution that an electronic transfer is accepted. Upon receipt of the acceptance confirmation from our bank we will send you notification via mail indicating that the process is complete and your next HAP payment will automatically be deposited electronically in your account. In addition, to the benefits outlined above, the remittance statement detailing your account activity will be sent to you through the mail each month.
