Housing Manager II

Job Description:


ABOUT THE JOB:
The Housing Manager II can function in one of two capacities: He/she may have overall responsibility for the supervision and operation of one or more family and/or elderly developments totaling between 151 and 500 units. In this capacity, the Manager II supervises and develops a staff of employees and is responsible for the achievement of established objectives through the establishment of a well-functioning staff team. The Housing Manager II is responsible for insuring compliance with all BHA and regulatory agency procedures and policies. 
The Manager II may be the second manager at developments with a total of more than 500 units, in which case he/she reports to the Manager I. In this capacity, the Manager II will take direction from the Manager I and shall perform those aspects of the work of the development he/she is assigned. In this capacity, the Manager II shall be responsible for overall management of the development in the event of the Manager I’s absence.

Resident Capacity Program Coordinator

Job Description:

The Resident Capacity Coordinator reports to the Director of Resident Leadership & Community Affairs and will have primary responsibility to coordinate and implement BHA's resident capacity-building initiatives across the public housing and Section 8 portfolios. The Coordinator will provide Local Tenant Organizations (LTO) with technical assistance to support tenant participation and comply with the Tenant Participation Fund mandates. The Coordinator also provides and/or coordinates broader community trainings and leadership development activities. In addition, the Coordinator serves as the BHA liaison to the Resident Advisory Board, which includes residents of Family Public Housing, Elderly/Disabled Public Housing, and Section 8 rental assistance programs whom are elected through a democratic process. The Coordinator collaborates with the Resident Empowerment Coalition, a group of BHA resident leaders and local advocacy organizations that seeks to build the capacity of resident organizations representing BHA public housing and BHA Section 8 residents. Weekend and evening hours may be required.

Project Manager – Owner’s Representative

Job Description:


ABOUT THE JOB: 
Under the supervision of the Director, Assistant Director and/or Senior Project Manager of the Capital Construction Department, the Project Manager II acts as the owner's representative on capital improvement projects < $10.0M. The Project Manager II is responsible for assessing scope of project, planning architectural and engineering contracts as well as managing construction contracts. The Project Manager II will often be responsible to serve in the capacity of a Construction Representative (Clerk of the Works) on select projects either managed by themselves or other Project Managers. In all cases projects are to be completed within schedule and budget while monitoring the highest level of design and construction quality possible.
