Before you start the application, you’ll need to the following:

1. Gather Household Information.

• Social Security Numbers
• Annual income
• Names & Dates of Birth

2.  Review BHA’s Housing Options.  

• Public Housing
• Project Based Section 8
• Other Project Based
• State Public Housing Waiting Lists can be accessed through the state’s CHAMP Portal.  

3.   Review Eligibility Requirements.  

• Review eligibility criteria for the programs and the income limits to see if you qualify.

Updates:  Once added to a waiting list, you will receive communication by mail for updates or when you come to the top of the list.  Failure to respond to BHA communications may result in removal from the waiting list.
