IFB # 2419-02 Roofing at Archdale Development (Buildings 1 & 2)
The Boston Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Archdale Family Development 200-7 for the Boston Housing Authority in Roslindale Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Socotec AE Consulting Inc. EOHLC Project # 035429, BHA Project # 2419-02.
The Project consists of: Replacement of two built-up roofs with new built-up roofing and Insulation of U-value 0.032 Maximum.
The work is estimated to cost $ 725,000, including the cost of all alternates.
Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 §§26 to 27H inclusive.
General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the category of ‘ROOFING’.

Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Sub-Bidder’s Update Statement.
SUBTRADES: 22.00.01 Plumbing – Roof Drains cost estimate $43,200
All Bids should be delivered to: Boston Housing Authority, 52 Chauncy St., Boston, MA 02111 and received no later than the date & time specified above.
General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Boston Housing Authority.
General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA. The participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 6.1% MBE and 7.9% WBE of the final contract price including accepted alternates. Request for waivers must be sent to EOHLC (Chad.Howard@mass.gov) 5 calendar days prior to the General Bid date. NO WAIVERS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER THE GENERAL BIDS ARE OPENED.
The Contractor must agree to strive to achieve a 3% Veterans Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goal as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO) for all state and state-assisted design and construction projects costing more than $150,000. Veteran-owned (VBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran-
owned (SDVOBE) are jointly referred as “Veteran Business(es)”.
The Contractor and all subcontractors (collectively referred to as “the Contractor”) agree to strive to achieve minority and women workforce participation. The Workforce Participation benchmark is set at 7.9% for women and 6.1% for minorities. The Workforce benchmark percentages are a statutory requirement under MGL c. 149 § 44A(2)(G).
