IFB # 2247-02 Site Improvements at Martin Luther King Jr. Elderly Development

The Boston Housing Authority (BHA) invites sealed bids for Site Improvements at Martin Luther King Jr. Elderly Development, BHA Job # 2247-02.  Such improvements include, but
are not limited to, the following:
 
1. Grading, site demolition, and protection of existing trees and most fencing.
2. Foundations for shade structure per manufacturer’s recommendation. (Above-
ground assembly and installation of the specified shade structure shall be
per the manufacturer.)
3. New walkways, plazas with seating elements.
4. New fencing sections.
5. New planting areas, including the construction and installation of raised beds.
 
The work is estimated at $826,974.00 (for base scope of work).  Bids will be received and publicly opened at the BHA's Procurement Department, 52 Chauncy Street, 6th floor, Boston, MA, 02111.  If bidders are to hand-deliver bids, please drop off bids at the Bids/Proposals Drop-Off Box in the lobby of 52 Chauncy Street. 
 
Bids not received by the following times will be rejected:

The general bid must include a 5% bid deposit.  The successful bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds.  All bids are subject to MGL c. 30, sec. 39M.  Wages are subject to minimum wage rates set by the US Department of Labor.  All general bidders must follow the BHA's Minority and Women Participation Provision and Resident Employment Provision.
