Bridge to Prosperity Pilot

Are you considering taking a higher paying job, and have a clear goal for your career growth in mind, but are worried about losing benefits like MassHealth or other benefits like SNAP? This is called the "Cliff Effect." Learn more here.

Consider enrolling in the Bridge to Prosperity Pilot that provides $300-$700 dollars per month and $10,000 asset building bonus at the end of the year.

BHA is partnering with Bridge to Prosperity and EMPath to provide economic coaching for BHA participants in this pilot program. Participants will meet with their mentor regularly to set goals and get support with things like getting a good-paying job and managing their money.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be currently employed (part or full-time). Self-employed individuals are not eligible at this time.
  • Have a clear goal for your career growth in mind, and be ready to work towards achieving it in concrete ways such as increasing your work hours, and/or taking part in training or education.
  • Have dependents (e.g., children who rely on you financially)
  • Receive 1 or more Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA benefit(s) (e.g., SNAP)
