Peabody Englewood is a warm, welcoming community that offers a variety of living arrangements for low- and moderate-income elderly and disabled persons. Peabody Englewood offers approximately 103 one- and two-bedroom apartments in a six-story, elevator-equipped building. This modern building was built in the early 1980s and is located in Peabody Square in Dorchester near many shops and services.
We offer many amenities for elderly and disabled individuals, which include emergency pull cords in the bedrooms and bathrooms as well as intercoms in every apartment. We have units that are handicapped accessible and we may modify existing apartments based on Reasonable Accommodation requests
Residents pay 30 percent of their income towards rent, prorated rent, or a predetermined flat rent.
Location:
Peabody Englewood is located in Dorchester in Peabody Square. A variety of shops and services are located in the surrounding community. There are a number of churches as well. Health care is available at Carney Hospital. Our complex is located nearby at the Ashmont MBTA station

The Tenant Task Force works hand-in-hand with the BHA, as well as with numerous public and private organizations to foster an independent lifestyle for residents while building a strong sense of community within the building.
The Tenant Task Force also encourages residents to participate directly in strengthening their community through a variety of educational, cultural, social and recreational activities.
