Welcome to Monsignor Powers Apartments.

Monsignor Powers is a small, elderly/disabled community that offers a variety of living arrangements for low- and moderate-income elderly and disabled persons. We offer 67 efficiency, one- and two-bedroom apartments in a mid-rise, four-story building.

Apartments range from being fully equipped to modified to handicapped accessible.Residents pay 30 percent of their income towards rent, prorated rent, or a predetermined flat rent.

Location:

Monsignor Powers is located in South Boston, near area beaches and within walking distance to a supermarket, pharmacy, several banks and restaurants and a Boston Public Library branch. A Boston Fire Department station is one block away.
There are a number of churches in the surrounding community. Healthcare is available at the South Boston Community Health Center and New England Medical Center is a short bus or car ride away.

Tenant Task Force:

The Tenant Task Force works hand-in-hand with the BHA, as well as with numerous public and private organizations to foster an independent lifestyle for residents while building a strong sense of community within the building.

The Tenant Task Force also encourages residents to participate directly in strengthening their community though a variety of educational, cultural, social and recreational activities. Plenty of space for residents to read a book or just relax
