Welcome to Foley Apartments.

Foley is a warm, welcoming community that offers a variety of living arrangements for low- and moderate-income elderly and disabled persons. Foley offers approximately 95 one-bedroom apartments in a seven-story, elevator-equipped building. Our complex is ideally located on the waterfront in the dynamic South Boston community – every unit has a water view.

We offer many amenities for elderly and disabled individuals, which include emergency pull cords in the bedrooms and bathrooms as well as intercoms in every apartment. We have units that are handicapped accessible and we may modify existing apartments based on Reasonable Accommodation requests.

Residents pay 30 percent of their income towards rent, prorated rent, or a predetermined flat rent.

Location:

Foley is located in South Boston on the beautiful waterfront. A variety of businesses and services are located nearby or within a quick ride on public transportation. Historic Castle Island and area beaches are within walking distance. There are many churches in the area as well.

Health care is available nearby at the South Boston Community Health Center or at New England Medical Center a short distance away via bus transportation.

Tenant Task Force:

The Tenant Task Force works hand-in-hand with the BHA, as well as with numerous public and private organizations to foster an independent lifestyle for residents while building a strong sense of community within the building.

The Tenant Task Force also encourages residents to participate directly in strengthening their community through a variety of educational, cultural, social and recreational activities.
