The Boston Housing Authority seeks proposals from vendors to administer a credible messenger program for up to 30 underserved youth aged 12 to 18 years old in the Franklin Field and Mildred C. Mentors will also be available for individual ad hoc conversations with participants. The vendor will be responsible for providing case management support that connects participants to education, employment, and other resources. The cost of the program is estimated to be $210,000 for a 1-year contract that will cover up to 30 youth living in the Franklin Field and Mildred C. Hailey developments. The contract will be funded through the combination of a grant from the City of Boston and Shannon Grant from the Commonwealth, with the possibility of a one year extension if additional funding is secured.
