Social Media Websites and the BHA
The Boston Housing Authority intends to use third-party social media websites to share information and communicate with our various constituents. The following policies lay out the BHA’s responsibilities, and visitors’ responsibilities, in interacting with these sites.

Boston Housing Authority Social Media Policy
BHA social media websites are in fact not part of the BHA website but are operated by third parties. Visitors are required to familiarize themselves with, and comply with, these websites’ policies. |
BHA Privacy Policy
Visitors are advised of the types of data the BHA collects from them, and how that information might be used and maintained. |
BHA Comment Policy
Visitors are advised of the guidelines they will be expected to follow when interacting with the BHA’s social media websites. |

BHA Monitoring Committee Public Meeting
The BHA Monitoring Committee is appointed by Mayor Menino to periodically review matters relating to the management and performance of the agency, and to report to City Hall. |

Housing Manager II
The Housing Manager II can function in one of two capacities: He/she may have overall responsibility for the supervision and operation of one or more developments totaling between 151 and 500 units, in which case he/she reports to the Regional Manager. In this capacity the Manager II supervises and develops a staff of employees and is responsible for the achievement of established objectives through the establishment of a well-functioning staff team. The Housing Manager II is responsible for insuring compliance with all BHA and regulatory agency procedures and policies. The Manager II may be the second manager at developments with more than 500 units, in which case he/she reports to the Manager I. In this capacity, the Manager II will take direction from the Manager I and shall perform those aspects of the work of the development he/she is assigned. In this capacity the Manager II shall be responsible for overall management of the development in the event of the Manager I’s absence. |

Management and Budget Analyst
Under the direction of the Budget Director, the Management and Budget Analyst is responsible for a broad range of quantitative and administrative activities relating to the management, operation, policies, regulations and funding of public housing services. Provides support and technical assistance to department and development managers regarding budget planning, management and administration. |

Special Assignment Laborer
Under the general supervision of the Housing Manager and Maintenance Superintendent the incumbent is required to perform the duties of a laborer while residing in a BHA development, rent free. In addition to the general requirements of a laborer’s position this position will involve performing clean-up tasks on the weekends for a maximum of four (4) hours on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. |

Transfer Process Coordinator
Under the general supervision of the Director of Occupancy and the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Occupancy the Transfer Process Coordinator is responsible for administering every facet of the Authority’s Resident Transfer Process that occurs within the Occupancy Department including responsibility for securing all reports related to a Transfer request, compiling recommendations, obtaining additional verification, scheduling meetings and notifying all parties of the results of the meeting of the Transfer Review Committee. |

Access BHA
This plan will upgrade 267 apartments in the family developments and 100 apartments in the elderly/disabled developments so that they are fully handicapped accessible. |

IT Needs Assessment - Specification Documents
As an outcome of the Information Technology Needs Assessment project, the BHA is publishing its desired functional specifications for software applications to replace its current legacy system. These specifications may be used in the future to support the procurement and selection of software applications. However, they are not procurement documents and should not be construed as such. |

Access BHA
The BHA recently signed an agreement with HUD to make 5% of its units and its common area spaces handicapped accessible within 5 years. Access BHA is the plan BHA is developing to achieve this goal. This plan will mean that 267 apartments in the family developments and 100 apartments in the elderly/disabled developments will be upgraded so that they are fully handicapped accessible. Common areas at developments throughout the city will be upgraded so they are handicapped accessible as well. |
