The Boston Housing Authority (BHA) is committed to protecting the integrity of the housing programs it administers. If you have reason to believe that any fraudulent activity is taking place in connection with the BHA Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, Moderate Rehabilitation Program or the Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program, report the matter promptly to BHA. There are three ways to report alleged fraudulent activity.

  1. Phone: Call the BHA Fraud Investigator at (617) 988-4161.
  2. Mail: Boston Housing Authority
    52 Chauncy St.
    Boston, MA 02111
Attn: Fraud Investigations - 10th Floor
  3. Fax: (617) 988-4278 Attn: Fraud Investigations - 10th Floor

Please use the Fraud/Compliance Report when submitting a written report. BHA will follow up on all reports of program violations. Program violations may be committed by tenants or owners participating in housing programs, as well as employees of BHA.

Please provide as much information as possible regarding the person(s) you are reporting and the nature of the violation. The more information that is reported, the better the chance there is of determining if fraudulent activity has taken place. Without sufficient information, we will be unable to investigate the suspected activity.

The information you provide BHA is strictly confidential. Due to federal and State law, BHA cannot comment on actions taken after your allegation is reported. However, we assure you that all allegations will be reviewed to determine whether fraud is taking place and the appropriate penalties will be issued if fraudulent activity is proven. We encourage and appreciate your support in this matter.
