Welcome to West Broadway.

81 Orton Marotta Way, South Boston

Built in 1949, West Broadway sits on more than 20 acres of land. A state funded development, West Broadway’s 486 apartments range from one to six bedrooms.   During the 80's and early 90's, West Broadway was redeveloped in 3 phases and now includes many townhouse units with front and rear yards with separate entrances.  Most recently, a portion of West Broadway has been renovated to 133 townhouse units and is now known as West Broadway Homes.  These units are privately managed.  The Condon Elementary School is adjacent to the property.  The LaBoure Community Center was recently constructed and sits on the corner of West Broadway and "D" Street.  Both the Condon and Laboure offer many programs for residents of all ages.  The West Broadway Task Force offers many activities including a Senior Program, computer classes, kids summer program, etc.   Rents are calculated at 32% of a resident’s income.

Location:

West Broadway is conveniently located near the South Boston Commercial District that offers a variety of stores, restaurants and services.   The Condon School is also a community center that offers adult education programs such as ESL and GED programs, youth activities and access to an indoor swimming pool.   Health care is within walking distance at the South Boston Community Health Center.  The South Boston neighborhood also offers residents easy access to Castle Island and Carson Beach, popular walking, fishing and picnicking areas.
