Built in the late 1800s, the apartments are located in historic brownstone buildings. The complex offers 133 units, ranging from studios to four-bedroom apartments. The management and maintenance offices for this complex, as well as for Rutland/East Springfield Street apartments, are located at the West Newton site. West Newton is known as one of the BHA’s scattered site properties. Rents are calculated at 30% of a resident’s income. Residents have the option of choosing a flat rent as well.

Several elementary schools are located in the neighborhood and several churches are a few minutes walk away.
