Orient Heights is a family community offering a variety of living arrangements for low- and moderate-income individuals and families, as well as for handicapped and disabled individuals. Some of our units are two-story brick townhouses, containing two and three bedroom units with very large basements. Renovations completed in the early 1990s created several additional one to five-bedroom apartments. Rents are calculated at 32% of a resident’s income.

Location:

Orient Heights is located in East Boston, with addresses at three levels/locations. The complex is convenient to Logan Airport. A short bus/car ride away is Bennington St. and Saratoga St. where there are a pharmacy, banks, schools, churches and restaurants. Health care is available at the nearby Winthrop Health Center. Five minutes away on McClellan Highway is a supermarket and Target Department store.

Transportation:

Public transportation is available via the 120 Orient Heights/Waldemar bus that stops in front of Waldemar Avenue and also on Faywood Avenue. Buses run about every 15 to 20 minutes. The Suffolk Downs stop on the Blue Line and Orient Heights stop on the Orange Line are also a short distance away.
