General Description: Under the general supervision of the Chief Procurement Officer or designee, the Stock Clerk is responsible for the filling of stock orders, storage of materials, loading and unloading of supplies, and the general maintenance of the stockroom. Individual responsibility for certain inventory categories may be required.
Duties & Responsibilities: • Stores, issues, and maintains records on the disposition of the materials and supplies related to the Central Stores operation.
• Unloads and verifies incoming orders.
• Locates and stores stock in bins, shelves or pallets.
• Locates, counts and issues of requisitioned items.
• Prepares various records to the disposition of stock.
• Notifies superiors when stock is low or discrepancies appear.
• Assists in the physical inventory count; and maintains the stock area in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
• Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience: High School diploma or a GED required. Must demonstrate some reasonable familiarity with the identification and use of the type of material and supplies stored at Central Stores. Reasonable skill in the handling and issue of materials; ability to maintain simple records accurately, physical strength, and ability to get along with others is required. Previous experience in a M.R.O. warehouse strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, etc.) preferred
