General Description: Under the supervision of the Director of Program Control, responsible for the EDP input of demographic and financial data concerning leased housing applicants, tenants, units and the production of rent checks and administrative, fiscal control and other reports.
Duties & Responsibilities: ·Inputs new files into the existing EDP system for all leased housing programs.
·Changes or deletes information in the system as needed.
·Performs basic electronic verification of the data entered.
·Maintains agent/owner and tenant data on property under lease.
·Maintains inspection tracking system for units in all leased housing programs.
·Coordinates with other staff to assure accurate payments on new leases and for retroactive rent adjustments.
·Assures the veracity of existing data systems by periodic examination through cross- reference with other EDP systems.
·Communicates with the Data Processing Department to change existing files and reports as necessary.
·Produces regular monthly and quarterly reports.
·Maintains manual files as back-up to the EDP systems.
·Oversees production and dissemination of monthly rent checks.
·Responds to immediate information of Leasing Officers, Inspectors and other staff; produces basic listings of selected information, as requested, such as rent studies by Census Tract, listing of all units under lease with a development, etc.
·Responsible under supervision for ensuring proper billing of tenants for rents and arrears for specific programs where necessary (e.g. Section 23).
·Adjusts tenant accounts accordingly.
·Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting or EDP systems. Knowledge of data processing techniques and systems and the ability to use these techniques. Knowledge of subsidized housing programs preferred. Accurate typing skills essential. Relevant, responsible experience may be substituted in lieu of education requirements.
