Whittier offers a variety of living arrangements for low- and moderate-income individuals and families in both low- and mid-rise buildings. Whittier offers 200 units, ranging from one to four bedroom apartments. Rents are calculated at 30% of a resident’s income. Residents have the option of choosing a flat rent as well.

Whittier is located in Lower Roxbury near the South End, near a pharmacy and church. Many other businesses, including a Super Stop & Shop, can be accessed at nearby Jackson Square. In addition, the recently built Boston Police Headquarters is across the street and the Reggie Lewis Track and Field Center is nearby. Health care is available nearby at the Whittier Street Health Center.
