Welcome to Roslyn Apartments. We are pleased that you are considering our community for your future home.
Roslyn is a warm, welcoming community that offers a variety of living arrangements for low- and moderate-income elderly and disabled persons. Roslyn offers approximately 119 one- and two-bedroom apartments in a six-story, elevator-equipped building. Our complex is located in a nice, quiet residential area just off Hyde Park Avenue in Roslindale.
We offer many amenities for elderly and disabled individuals, which include emergency pull cords in the bedrooms and bathrooms as well as intercoms in every apartment. We have units that are handicap accessible and we may modify existing apartments based on Reasonable Accommodation requests.
Residents pay 30 percent of their income towards rent, prorated rent, or a predetermined flat rent.
Roslyn employs a professional management team that promptly responds to all resident needs in a timely manner. The staff includes:
- Management Aide
- Resident Service Coordinator
- Resident Custodian
The BHA’s Elderly and Disabled Resident Service Coordinators have been trained to:
- perform need assessments and
make appropriate referrals for
- access services to enhance tenancy and independent life
- coordinate services for home
bound frail elderly/disabled
- help residents to access services
that enhance quality of life
- assist in crisis intervention with tenants at risk
- advocate and liaison with
management, family, health providers and community agencies.
Roslyn is located in Roslindale, just off of Hyde Park Avenue. Our complex is located in a tranquil area with beautiful lawns for residents to enjoy. A variety of shops and services are located in the surrounding communities of Forest Hills, Hyde Park and Roslindale. There are a number of churches in the area as well. Health care is available at the Hyde Park Medical Center on Hyde Park Avenue and at Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain.
Public transportation is available nearby on Hyde Park Avenue. MBTA buses provide transportation to the Forest Hills Station or to the nearby shopping area along Hyde Park Avenue.
THE RIDE, a door-to-door transportation service provided by the MBTA, is available by appointment for persons with disabilities.
Also, a city-operated Senior Shuttle is available by appointment for residents to go to doctor’s appointments and grocery shopping.

We offer a wide range of amenities, programs, and services to help you feel at home. These include:
- Security provided with TV surveillance and intercom system
- Laundry facilities on site
- Health screenings
- Ample parking
- Air-conditioned, large community room with kitchen, two meeting rooms for bingo and TV
- Social activities such as coffee hour, ceramics, puzzle room and a resident library
- Beautiful grounds with trees, outdoor lighting and areas for outdoor sitting
- Quarterly Crime Watch Meetings
- Several units have sliding glass doors that open up to private backyards
