Heath Street is one of the three developments which make up the Bromley-Heath development in Jamaica Plain. Managed for the past thirty years by the Tenant Management Corporation, Bromley-Heath offers a unique living environment for low- and moderate-income families.
Heath Street, built in the forties, is one of the BHA's oldest developments. Since then, major renovations have taken place for many of the buildings and apartments, with future renovations planned.
Heath Street apartments vary from one to six bedrooms, including townhouses and flats, and its buildings are all three stories. Residents pay 30% of their income for rent or may opt to pay a flat rent instead.

Heath Street is located in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston, near Jackson Square and Hyde Square. Adjacent properties include the Martha Elliott Health Center, a Super Stop & Shop, a small shopping center, the Jackson Square MBTA station, and the Hyde Square Centre Street business district. The Dimock Street Health Center is also within walking distance. The Hennigan Community School, including gym and pool facilities, is less than three blocks from Bromley Park.
