Frederick Douglass

Welcome to Frederick Douglass
755 Tremont Street, Roxbury
Located on highly desirable Tremont Street in the South End, Frederick Douglass is a close knit building, offering apartments for low- and moderate-income elderly and disabled persons. Frederick Douglass offers 77 efficiency and one-bedroom apartments in a mid-rise, eight-story building built in 1973. The lobby, community room, kitchen and common hallways were recently renovated with new carpeting, paint, and furniture. Frederick Douglass, along with Washington Manor and Hampton House, are known as the Three Sisters because they are identical in design and structure.

We offer many amenities for elderly and disabled individuals. Our units range from being fully equipped to modified to handicapped accessible. Rents are calculated at 30% of a resident’s income. Residents have the option of choosing a flat rent as well.
