Fairmount offers town-house living in the residential neighborhood of Hyde Park for low- and moderate-income individuals and families. The complex was built more than 40 years ago and consists of 182 two-story townhouse units, with 20 additional apartments located in five brick buildings. There is a centrally located basketball court in the development and the area is lined with trees and fully landscaped grass areas and shrubbery. Rents are calculated at 32% of a resident’s income.

Location
Fairmount is located in a predominantly residential area of Hyde Park near the Milton line. Faulkner and Carney Hospitals are located within two miles of Fairmount. Also nearby is Cleary Square, home to a supermarket, post office, childcare center, banking service and a variety of other merchants. Cleary Square also offers a YMCA, newly expanded branch Library, and a Boston Community Center.
