Welcome to Davison Apartments. We are pleased that you are considering our community for your future home.
Davison is a close-knit, welcoming community that offers a variety of living arrangements for low- and moderate-income elderly and disabled persons. Davison offers 48 efficiency and one-bedroom apartments in a unique garden-style environment. Our complex is ideal for people who are independent and would enjoy living in a quiet residential neighborhood.
We offer many amenities for elderly and disabled individuals, which include emergency pull cords in the bedrooms and bathrooms as well as intercoms in every apartment. We have units that are handicap accessible and we may modify existing apartments based on Reasonable Accommodation requests.
Residents pay 30 percent of their income towards rent, prorated rent, or a predetermined flat rent.
Davison Apartments employs a professional management team that promptly responds to all resident needs in a timely manner. The staff includes:
- Manager
- Management Aide
- Resident Service Coordinator
- Two resident custodians
The BHA’s Elderly and Disabled Resident Service Coordinators have been trained to:
- perform need assessments and
make appropriate referrals for
services
- access services to enhance tenancy and independent life
- coordinate services for home
bound frail elderly/disabled
- help residents to access services
that enhance quality of life
- assist in crisis intervention with tenants at risk
- advocate and liaison with
management, family, health providers and community agencies.

Location |
The River Street bus runs from Cleary Square to Mattapan Square.
Davison is located in a quiet neighborhood of single-family homes in Hyde Park, two blocks from River Street and three-quarter miles from Cleary Square – which contains numerous convenience stores, banks and clothing stores. There are many churches of different denominations in the area as well.
Health care is nearby, with Faulkner and Carney hospitals located within two miles of Davison, and health clinics in Mattapan and Cleary Square.
The MBTA Red Line runs from Mattapan Square to Downtown Crossing.
THE RIDE, a door-to-door transportation service provided by the MBTA, is available by appointment for persons with disabilities.
Also, a city-operated Senior Shuttle is available by appointment for residents to go to doctor’s appointments and grocery shopping
Health care is nearby, with Faulkner and Carney hospitals located within two miles of Davison, and health clinics in Mattapan and Cleary squares.
