Franklin Field Family

Welcome to Franklin Field Family
91 Ames Street, Dorchester
Franklin Field is a warm, welcoming community that offers a variety of living arrangements for low- and moderate-income individuals and families. Built in 1954, Franklin Field offers 386 units ranging from one to five bedroom units. Of those, 40 are two-bedroom townhouse units and 148 are private entrance units with small yards. Franklin Field is one of the few developments built with both state and federal funds. Benches are placed in grassy areas throughout the development. Rents are calculated at 30% of a resident’s income. Residents have the option of choosing a flat rent as well.

Location
Franklin Field is conveniently located just off of Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester. While there are few retail businesses in the immediate area, the complex is near a lovely park, a teen center, the Lee Elementary school and the Franklin Park Zoo. Laundry facilities are located at the entrance to the development. The Sportsmen Tennis Club and Robert George White Youth Center are adjacent to the site. Health care is available at the Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center.
