The Community Services Department is responsible for the delivery of programs and services to public housing residents. The mission of the Community Services Department is to expand employment opportunities and skills training for BHA residents; to respond to the individual social service needs of youths, families and seniors; and, to build the capacity of local tenant organizations by providing training and technical assistance. In pursuit of this mission, the department will strengthen its existing collaborations and initiate new partnerships to expand access to social, educational, vocational, health and other critically needed services.

Boston Broadband Community Computer Centers (BBCCC) The BBCCC is a partnership between the Boston Housing Authority, the Boston Centers for Youth & Families (BCYF) and the Boston Public Library, funded in part by the NTIA grant.
The BHA is also partnering with a number of its resident organizations and other community-based organizations to host 11 computer centers.
These centers will be located at the following BHA sites:
Alice H. Taylor, Cathedral, Charlestown, Commonwealth, Franklin Field, Lenox-Camden, Mary Ellen McCormack, Old Colony, Project NewLife/Bromley Heath, South Street and West Broadway.

Public Housing Family Self-Sufficiency (PH FSS) Program The public housing Family Self-Sufficiency Program (PH FSS)is designed to help families living in BHA federal family public housing to become self-supporting. |
Public Housing Tenant Participation Policy The Tenant Participation Policy defines the rights and responsibilities regarding participation of BHA tenants and their Local Tenant Organizations (LTOs) in the management of BHA developments.
The BHA firmly believes that successful management of its local public housing developments requires participation and cooperation from all BHA tenants in the overall mission and operation of public housing in order to create a positive living environment.
