Civil Rights

The Office of Civil Rights consists of three units: Fair Housing & Employment, Contract Compliance, and Grievance and Appeals. The Fair Housing & Employment Unit assists employees and residents in identifying, reviewing, and resolving alleged civil rights and fair housing violations. This unit also investigates all instances of discrimination including employee harassment and issues appropriate recommendations. The Contract Compliance Unit is responsible for ensuring that all contractors are in compliance with prevailing wage requirements and the Authority's Minority Participation Program (MPP) and Minority Women's Business Enterprise (MWBE) programs. The Grievance and Appeals Unit conducts administrative hearings on grievance panel appeals, applicant appeals, and proposed Section 8 terminations.
