INVITATION TO BID ON
SURPLUS PROPERTY
The Boston Housing Authority invites sealed bids from parties interested in the acquisition of Salvage Vehicles & Construction Equipment. The vehicles and construction equipment (1988 Ford Payloader, 1995 Chevy Rack Truck & 4- 1996 Chevy Corsica’s) are available for inspection at Boston Housing Authority, Garage, 125 Amory Street (rear) Jamaica Plain. Appointments for inspection must be arranged in advance by contacting Robert Pichiery at (617) 988-5139. Award will be made to highest offerer of each vehicle/equipment. Vehicles/equipment must be removed within one week of notification of award. If vehicles/equipment are not removed within that time, the Authority reserves the right to award to the next high bidder. Payment must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or money order made payable to the Boston Housing Authority and tendered at the time buyer takes possession of the property. Bids must be submitted on forms provided at the time of inspection and be accompanied by a certificate of non-collusion. Bids must be received no later than 12:30 P.M. Monday, July 14, 2008 at the Boston Housing Authority, 6th Floor - Contract Unit, 52 Chauncy Street, Boston, MA 02111, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. There is no charge for the bidding documents, which may be picked up at the above address or will be mailed on request. All inquiries regarding this bid shall be directed to the Contract Unit (617) 988-4036. The Boston Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids as may be in the public interest.
