BHA invites sealed bids for the acquisition of Surplus Property

INVITATION TO BID ON SURPLUS PROPERTY

The Boston Housing Authority invites sealed bids from parties interested in the acquisition of Construction Equipment, Copiers & Salvage Vehicles. The construction equipment and vehicles (1997 Bombardier, 1998 Daewoo, 1986 Muller C42/Concrete Mixer, 1989 Chevy Dump Truck, 1995 Ford Explorer, 1999 Ford Crown Victoria) are available for inspection at Boston Housing Authority Garage, 125 Amory Street (rear) Jamaica Plain. Appointments for inspection must be arranged in advance by contacting Robert Pinchiery at (617) 988-5138. The Copiers (3-Xerox5845C Copiers) are available for inspection at Boston Housing Authority, 52 Chauncy Street 6th Floor, Boston, MA. Appointment for inspection must be arranged in advance by contacting Donna Tansey at (617) 988-4036. Award will be made to the highest offer of each copier/vehicle. Copiers/Vehicles must be removed within one week of notification of award. If copiers/vehicles are not removed within that time, the Authority reserves the right to award to the next high bidder. Payment must be in the form of a certified check; cashier’s check or money order made payable to the Boston Housing Authority and tendered at the time buyer takes possession of the property. Bids must be submitted on forms provided at the time of inspection and be accompanied by a certificate of non-collusion. Bids must be received no later than 11:00 A..M. July 9, 2007 at the Boston Housing Authority, 6th Floor – Contract Unit, 52 Chauncy Street, Boston, MA 02111, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. There is no charge for the bidding documents, which may be picked up at the above address or will be mailed on request. All inquiries regarding this bid shall be directed to the Contracts Unit (617) 988-4036. The Boston Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids as may be in the public interest.
