The Boston Housing Authority (the Awarding Authority) invites sealed bids from general contractors for Job # 01-030C Underground Storage Tank Removal and Site Restoration at Orient Heights Development for the BHA in Boston, Massachusetts in accordance with the documents prepared by Green Environmental, Inc. Project consists of the removal of two (1) 15,000-gallon underground storage tanks and associated petroleum contaminated soil and site restoration. The work is estimated to cost $104,000. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.30 §39M and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 §§26 to 27H inclusive. General Bids will be received at the office of the Boston Housing Authority Contract Office, 52 Chauncy Street 6th floor, Boston, Ma 02111 until 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 and publicly opened, forthwith. Mailed Bids should be sent to the above address and received no later than the date and time specified above. General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Boston Housing Authority.
Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available for pick-up at BHA, 52 Chauncy Street, 6th floor, after 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 upon deposit of a certified or cashier's check in the amount of $ 50 per set, payable to the Boston Housing Authority. This deposit will be refunded for one set upon return of the set in good condition within thirty days of receipt of general bids. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the BHA. Additional sets may be purchased for $ 50 per set. Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $ 15 per set, payable to the Boston Housing Authority.
