The Boston Housing Authority (BHA), the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for two projects from general contractors BHA Job # 01P-067 for Exterior Painting at 115 Boardman St. and BHA Job #01P-068 for Exterior Painting at Franklin Field Family and Elderly Developments for the BHA in Boston, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by DHCD. The Projects consists of exterior painting and minor carpentry repairs. The work is estimated to cost $18,500 and $16,500 respectively. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.30 §39M and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 §§26 to 27H inclusive.
General Bids for BHA Job # 01P-067will be received until 11:30 AM Thursday 11/8/01, and 12 noon Thursday 11/8/01 for BHA Job # 01P-068 and publicly opened, forthwith. All bids will be received and opened at the BHA, 52 Chauncy Street - 6th Fl., Boston, MA 02111. Mailed bids should be sent to this address and received no later than the date and time specified above. General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Boston Housing Authority. Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available for pick-up at the above address after l0:00 a.m., on Wednesday, 10/24/01 upon deposit of a check or money order (no cash) in the amount of per set, payable to the Boston Housing Authority. This deposit will be refunded for one set upon return of the set in good condition within thirty days of receipt of general bids. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority. Additional sets may be purchased for . Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $ 15.00 per set, payable to the BHA, to cover mail handling costs.
There will be a site inspection for BHA Job # 01P-067 at 10:00 AM Tues. 10/30/01 commencing at 115 Boardman St. (front door) E. Boston. The site inspection for BHA Job # 01P-068 is at 12 noon Tues. 10/30/01 commencing at 100 Ames St. (community room) Dorchester.
