IFB #00-044C Browne Fund Educational Walkway at Mary Ellen McCormack

The Boston Housing Authority invites sealed bids for Browne Fund Educational Walkway at Mary Ellen McCormack Housing Development, BHA Job #00-044C, prepared by Moriece & Gary, Landscape Architects, 56 Roland Street, Charlestown, MA. The work includes: site preparation, clearing, earthwork, concrete and bituminous concrete paving, pavement coloring and marking, drainage, fencing, lighting, loaming, seeding planting and other miscellaneous work. The work is estimated at $140,620.00 including deduct alternates. Selected Contractor must have demonstrated experience in working with artistic concrete textures and complex concrete staining and/or producing unique and complex public artwork . Bids will be received and publicly opened at the BHA's Contract Office, 52 Chauncy Street, 6th fl, Boston, MA, 02111. Bids not received by the following times will be rejected: General bid opening: 8-22-01 @ 11:00 am The general bid must include: a 5% bid deposit by a bid bond, cash, certified, treasurer's, or cashier's check. The successful bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. All bids are subject to MGL c. 30, sec. 39M. Wages are subject to minimum wage rates set by the US Department of Labor. All general bidders must follow the BHA's Minority and Women Participation Provision and Resident Employment Provision. For complete data, see the Contract Documents which will be available at the BHA on 8-1-01 and can be obtained upon deposit of a refundable $50.00 (checks only) or mailed upon receipt of an additional non refundable $15.00 (checks only) made out to the BHA. This deposit will be refunded for the set for each bidder upon return of the set in good condition within thirty (30) calendar days after the opening of general bids. Otherwise, the deposit shall become the property of the Boston Housing Authority. Additional sets may be purchased at the same office for $50.00 (non refundable.) All bidders should attend the site visit on 8-8-01, 11:00 am at 10 Kemp Street (at the Mary Ellen McCormack Development), South Boston, MA.
