The BHA invites sealed bids for Boiler Room Upgrade at Maverick Gardens Development, BHA Job No.: 01-021C, prepared by Richard D. Kimball Company, Inc., 200 Brickstone Square, Andover, MA. The work is estimated at $146,000.00 and includes: replacing the existing vacuum/condensate receiver unit in the boiler plant, replace the existing control valves with all accessories in the basement of all 12 residential buildings, replace the existing complete heating coils inside of the DHW tanks and replace all the steam traps in the basement of all 12 residential buildings per bid package. Bids will be received and publicly opened at the BHA's Contract Office, 52 Chauncy Street, 6th fl, Boston, MA, 02111. Bids must be received by the general bid opening: 8/1/01 @ 11:00 a.m. Bids must include: a DCAM update statement, a Certificate in HVAC, and a 5% bid deposit by a bid bond, cash, certified, treasurer's, or cashier's check. The successful bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. All bids are subject to MGL c. 149, Sections 44A-J. The minimum wage rates of the US Department of Labor apply. All general bids must follow the BHA's Provisions for Minority and Women Participation and Resident Employment. For complete data, see the Contract Documents on 7/11/01 at the BHA for a refundable $50.00 (checks only) or mailed upon receipt of an additional non-refundable $15.00 (checks only) payable to the BHA. This deposit will be refunded for the set for each bidder upon return of the set in good condition within thirty (30) calendar days after the opening of general bids. Otherwise, the deposit shall become the property of the Boston Housing Authority. Additional sets may be purchased at the same office for $50.00 (non refundable.)
