The Boston Housing Authority (BHA) is seeking to award up to 150 Section 8 Project-Based Vouchers (PBVs) limited to the following categories of proposals in the City of Boston: Category 1 - newly constructed or rehabilitated supportive housing opportunities for long term individual shelter residents. Category 2 - newly constructed or rehabilitated units for families. Category 3 - existing affordable housing for families that leverage an award of existing PBVs to create additional affordable family units in excess of the number of PBVs awarded by the BHA as a result of this RFP. The initial term of the proposed contract(s) is 15-years. Complete details, qualification and submission requirements can be found in the RFP. RFP packages may be obtained for a non-refundable fee of $10.00 payable by check or money order to the BHA on or after 8/23/2010 from the BHA, Contract Office, 6th floor, 52 Chauncy Street, Boston, MA 02111 between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. The RFP package will be mailed to prospective respondents upon request for an additional $5.00 fee. The package is available at no charge via email request to bids@bostonhousing.org. Proposals will be received at the above address until 2:00 P.M. 9/13/2010. A letter of Intent to Apply and Questions or requests for modifications regarding this RFP will be accepted in writing only until 2:00 p.m. on 9/2/2010 and must be submitted to Dan Casals, BHA, 52 Chauncy Street, Boston, MA 02111, or email bids@bostonhousing.org, or fax to (617) 988-4292. The BHA reserves the right to reject any proposals and waive any informalities if it be in the public interest to do so.
